Once again, Jade Kerrion delivers with this amazing novel.

I loved this book. You see, Zara was always a little bit of an enigma for me. Like I get that she was awesome and that she invited trouble, but I never really got her. This book just revealed so much more about her, its really an essential read to truly appreciate the whole series.
Previously, when I read the other books, I always found it a little bit difficult to believe she loved Danyael. I mean Perfect Betrayal showed that they fell in love, but I always found it a little difficult to believe on Zara's part. I mean she kinda just spends a lot of time criticising him and all of a sudden, she's in love with him. But here, in this book, you start to understand why. Don't get me wrong, I completely ship this couple, I just couldn't see why sometimes. But here, you can't help but see why, when you realise that Danyael makes her a better person. Nothing wrong with her alone, but together, they better each other. She learns compassion and learns to trust others - not a lot, but at least a little bit more than normal. And I thought the last scene before the epilogue was so touching and so telling of her love for Danyael.
In Zara, we learn more about her past and the events that transpired to make her into the person she is today. We see how she fights so hard for the people she cares about and we see how in everything, she falls more in love with Danyael everyday. I think its amazing, her strength of will. Of course, her kick-ass nature helps a lot too. Like omg if I could fight, she would be my idol. I like how she doesn't let a man define her, and she makes her own way, somehow walking away relatively unharmed out of a lot of things. Zara commands respect and I certainly respect her.
This was truly a beautiful story, and I couldn't put it down. The amount of action in this book was just right, and her interactions with other characters is really something that shouldn't be missed. I literally could not put down this book, even though I definitely was supposed to be studying.
I simply love Jade Kerrion. It's not just this book, its all her books. It shouldn't be missed, but don't start here. Start at the beginning and really fall in love with all the characters and the world. It makes this book all the more beautiful.
I can't wait to read the next book now! (Even though I've already read it a few times, it just gets better the more I read it!

I've have loved this series starting with Perfection Unleashed. This additional arc into the life of Zara was full of suspense and adventure. This trained assassin who fell in love with her opposite, an empathic healer, finds herself again in the middle of political unrest, strategic sabotage, and unlikely allies. You will not be disappointed in this genetically altered future. Far from a dystopia, this future is filled with hope, desire, intrigue, and challenges.

A Must Read!!

All the elements of a great tale. An assassin, clones, technology, empathise, and action galore! What more could you want?
This book is fantastic. It grips you from page one and you don't want it to stop.
The Double Helix collection is a Must Read. And Zara is most definitely a Great Read!
